Volvo Construction Equipment has announced a strategic partnership with VizaLogix, aiming to expand its service offerings in response to the growing importance of digitisation and data among construction and mining fleets and equipment dealers.
“This partnership is a great fit because VizaLogix and Volvo CE have a common goal to improve customer experience through increased efficiency, uptime, and productivity,” said Scott Young, head of region North America at Volvo CE.
Based in Connecticut, VizaLogix will continue to operate independently, supporting multiple brands to provide services for mixed fleet operations.
“As we embark on this exciting new chapter with Volvo, we are thrilled to welcome them as a strategic minority investor in VizaLogix.
“This partnership marks a significant milestone for us, reaffirming our commitment to pioneering innovative solutions in the construction equipment industry.
“We are confident that together, we will drive even greater value for our customers and stakeholders,” said Shawn Bonnington, CEO of VizaLogix.
One of the company’s flagship products, TethrITNow, provides real-time collaboration for equipment and technician support.
This includes video calls with augmented reality overlays, allowing users to visually highlight and mark specific concerns.
Another product is TechnicianNow, a mobile application that streamlines maintenance deployment. Customers can request service and view real-time availability of parts and services, effectively eliminating wait times and enhancing operational efficiency.
VizaLogix also provides the 3602 platform, which offers 24/7 machine health monitoring. This system integrates multi-brand fleet data into a single platform, ensuring comprehensive oversight and maintenance of fleet health.
Vantage Point is another of its programs and is designed to store quarry site productivity and utilisation figures data in a data-agnostic platform. This allows users access to both real-time and historical data.
“Volvo CE recognises that services are growing to be just as important to fleets as their machines, and our investment in VizaLogix extends our commitment,” said Young.
“By combining the right machine with the right services, users get the best solution for their unique needs.”
