Each Liteguard trench shield comprises six parts along with eight pins and clips, allowing for quick assembly or dismantling within minutes.

This ease of use makes it possible to transport the components into backyards or confined spaces by hand.

Once in place, the shields can be assembled directly adjacent to the excavation site or even next to an excavator, minimising setup time and maximising efficiency.

Multiple points for attaching adjustable spreader bars and four built-in lift points on each panel ensure seamless lifting and placement.

Liteguard trench shields are suited for mini excavators ranging from 2.5 to 7.0 tonnes.

With the option to stack shields three deep using extension joiners, or inverting them for use in small shafts, the system is highly versatile for various excavation needs.

The shields are a good choice for maintenance work, including sewer, stormwater, water mains, gas services, underground electrical, and other minor excavations.

The mechanical spreader bar system stands out as a good alternative to hydraulic systems.

Unlike hydraulics, Liteguard shields require no water on-site, eliminating the risk of burst hoses or hydraulic failure.

Portability

Each panel weighs just 55kg, and a fully assembled unit tips the scales at 135kg, making transportation straightforward.

The shields fit easily into the back of a ute, small tray truck, or work van, making them accessible for smaller contractors and maintenance crews.

Liteguard offers trench shields in four standard sizes: 1200 x 1200 mm, 1800 x 1200 mm, 2400 x 1200 mm, and 3000 x 1200 mm.

The 2400 x 1200 mm size is the most popular.

Spreader bars are available in two adjustable ranges: 600 to 900mm and 1000 to 1800mm, with custom sizes available on request for unique project requirements.
