Specs including inching pedal give new Dieci site dumper the edge in tight spaces

PS Plant Specs Online has uploaded the specs for Dieci’s DP7000 site dumper which the manufacturer says, sets a new standard for tunneling and mining operations.

Designed for restricted access areas, the DP7000 boasts advanced features that make it a key asset for heavy-duty material transport in such spaces.

One of those features is its 180-degree swivel seat, which allows the operator to switch directions while maintaining full control.

This is paired with a reversible steering system, ensuring that the wheels and steering wheel stay perfectly synchronised regardless of the operator’s position.

This design enhances maneuverability, making it ideal for navigating narrow tunnel paths or performing precise positioning tasks on complex job sites.

To improve control during delicate operations, the DP7000 is equipped with an inching pedal that allows the operator to momentarily slow down or come to a complete stop without disengaging the lift or dump functions.

This feature enhances productivity by offering greater precision during load handling and placement.

The dumper is fitted with work lights positioned at the front and rear of the cab, as well as standard vehicle headlights, ensuring optimal illumination even in the dim conditions typically found in mining and tunneling environments.

This lighting setup cuts through airborne dust and particles, giving operators a clear view of their surroundings to safely and efficiently complete their tasks.

Despite its substantial payload capacity of 12,000kg, the DP7000 remains remarkably compact, with a width of just 2.33m.

This narrow frame allows the machine to navigate tight spaces, giving it access where larger vehicles would struggle to fit.

Operators can choose between four-wheel steering for agile movement in confined areas, transversal (crab) steering for diagonal repositioning, and two-wheel steering for traditional straight-line travel.

The machine’s permanent all-wheel drive provides good traction and stability, ensuring reliable performance even on uneven or slippery surfaces.

The ROPS/FOPS-certified cab provides a secure environment, shielding the operator from potential hazards.

Inside, the cabin is equipped with powerful air conditioning for consistent airflow and temperature control, ensuring a comfortable work environment during long shifts.

Additionally, the soundproofed interior minimises noise levels, helping to reduce operator fatigue.
