Specs for new Hidromek ALPHA K4 backhoes now on PS Online

Hidromek says its HMK 102B ALPHA K4 backhoe promises improved efficiency and performance under tough conditions. The machine aims high for operator comfort and its durability makes the model ideal for intensive workload jobs.

The interior of HMK 102B ALPHA K4 cabin has an adjustable steering wheel, a 3D floor mat, as well as detachable mats for easy cleaning.

The manufacturer says that the highlight of the engine is its economy and durability.

The turbocharged 4.4L engine delivers high torque even at low RPMs.

The 6-forward, 3-reverse fully automatic transmission ensures smooth driving. An optional torque converter lock provides additional fuel economy by engaging in the fifth and sixth gears.

The HMK 102B ALPHA K4 also comes with an optional Motion Stabiliser System that acts as a shock absorber on the loader lift cylinders, providing a smooth and fast ride even on rough terrain. This system enhances operator comfort by damping shocks when using a full loader bucket.

The model  is equipped with heavy-duty axles designed for load carriage and durability.

There is also an optional load-sensitive, gear-type hydraulic pump that provides precise  power controlled by operator needs and is independent of load and engine RPM. Flowsharing valves offer improved hydraulic control, enabling simultaneous boom, arm, and bucket motions even at low RPMs, ideal for noise-restricted areas like hospitals and schools.

Optional flow charging valves on the boom and arm lines prevent cavitation and enhance hydraulic power efficiency.

The limited-slip differential on the front axle and differential lock on the rear axle provide traction on challenging surfaces like stone, gravel, mud or ice.

The manufacturer says that this feature extends tyre life, improves working cycles, and enhances fuel efficiency.

The HMK 102B ALPHA K4 features a dual LCD display, allowing operators to easily check gauges from both the front and rear positions.

The boom construction and 6-in-1 loading bucket with a 1.1 m³ capacity enables high loading performance.

The bucket’s geometry allows effective use of its capacity, and the settling blade, fixed with a bolted system, can be exchanged for double-sided use without service assistance.

The ‘tipshift’ feature allows operators to control forward-reverse directions from the front loader control lever, aiding in manoeuvrability during loading operations.

The HMK 102B ALPHA K4 is suited for jobs in excavation, removal, or crushing works with its solid construction and efficient hydraulic system.

It provides maximum breakout force even at low RPMs and features a maximum oil flow of 163 litres per minute.

With its weight distribution and wide stabilisers, in common with other ALPHA K4 Series machines, the HMK 102B ALPHA K4 offers safe excavation on sloping sites.

The backhoe comes standard with an additional line for hydraulic breakers and attachments that ensures visibility during excavation and prevents damage.

The cushioning system in the excavation cylinder softens movements at the ends of strokes, absorbs impacts, and prolongs machine life.

The telescopic arm, with a digging depth of up to 5.7 metres, provides an advantage in deep excavations and long-reach tasks.Full specifications for the HMK 102B ALPHA K4 and the HMK 102S ALPHA K4 backhoe models are now available to PS Plant Specs Australia members. To subscribe, click here.
