Specs for Develon’s only dozer sold in Aus now posted

The Develon DD130 PAT Dozer is the newest addition to the brand’s lineup, and the manufacturer boasts that it has “best-in-class horsepower, superior traction, leading visibility, and offers advanced technologies.

This mid-size, 145.8-hp dozer is designed to enhance productivity across a range of industries, including construction, road building, mining, and forestry.

The DD130 retains many of the popular features of its predecessor (not available in Austral while expanding its capabilities for more demanding tasks.

Jacob Sherman, product and dealer marketing manager at Develon said, “Our dozers offer higher horsepower than other comparable brands. Designed with a heavy frame, they provide more power to the ground and superior tractive effort, allowing our machines to push more material and be more productive on the job site.”

The DD130’s productivity increase is in its 6-way power-tilt angle blade. This blade allows operators to work more efficiently by lifting, tilting, and angling to move materials precisely where needed, reducing the number of passes required.

The blade’s pitch can be mechanically adjusted from 52 to 58 degrees for optimal ground penetration.

The DD130 features an oscillating serrated track system, which ensures consistent, stable ground contact, enhancing grading performance and operator comfort.

This system adapts to terrain variations, providing precise blade control and smooth back grading through a blade float function.

Additionally, a blade shake button enables operators to quickly dislodge materials stuck to the blade without leaving the cab.

A 2D system option simplifies precision grading, allowing operators to program inputs and let the machine control blade functions, achieving faster and more accurate results without the need for GPS or lasers.

Develon says that future availability of 3D machine guidance and control features will further enhance its capabilities.

Electrohydraulic controls come standard on the DD130, offering low-effort, customisable joystick operation to reduce operator fatigue and adapt to individual preferences and skill levels.

The MY Develon fleet management system as standard, allows customers to remotely monitor and maintain their dozer via a mobile app and website.

This system tracks the health, location, and productivity of the machine, with the dealer able to notify customers when service is required, minimising downtime.

The narrower design of the front engine compartment enhances the operator’s view of the blade.

An in-line precleaner positioned under the hood reduces visual obstructions, while the electronic cooling system relocated to the back further improves front visibility.

The cab’s design maximizes glass area with low-profile front pillars and all-glass doors, providing a panoramic view of the working environment.

For enhanced safety and visibility, a standard rearview camera displays its feed on a full-color, 8-inch Smart Touch display.

Four high-illumination LED lights, with an option for two others, ensure excellent visibility in dim conditions.

Chad Mitchell, a senior superintendent at TE Stevens Construction, praised the DD130’s power and visibility after testing it on a job site. “It’s a good dozer as far as the power,” Mitchell noted. “I like the visibility from the cab, too. Being able to see behind the dozer blade to what I’m doing is critical when I’m grading. Plus, the cab is spacious and the controls made it simple to operate the dozer.”

The DD130 is designed for easy maintenance. Regular inspection points are accessible at ground level, and the electronically operated tilting cab provides access to internal components for diagnostics and repairs.

The undercarriage of the DD130 is engineered for convenience and cost-effective maintenance, with easy access to high-wear areas.

A removable side panel facilitates the addition of grease to the undercarriage’s tension system, ensuring optimal performance.

The DD130 features an ECO mode for light grading conditions, reducing daily fuel consumption by up to 5%.

Standard auto idle and auto shutdown features further enhance fuel efficiency on the job site.

The DD130 comes standard with piping for an optional 3-shank ripper attachment.

This attachment, with parallel linkage, maintains a constant angle to the ground and can break up hard materials before grading.
