Develon has introduced its latest heavy-duty machine, the DL580-7 wheel loader.
The maker says it has been engineered for efficiency and built to manage the largest loads – this model is capable of filling a 24-ton capacity, significantly reducing cycle times and making it an ideal choice for heavy-duty construction, mining and aggregate work.
The DL580-7 features an enhanced front work group with a reinforced Z-bar, larger-profile arm, and lift cylinder geometry that boosts lifting capacity.
This robust design is complemented by optional features such as a quick coupler and a larger counterweight for added versatility.
The standard Load Isolation System enhances stability and minimises material loss when operating on uneven terrain.
A feature of the DL580-7 is the ‘transparent bucket’, which provides operators with a unique see-through perspective via an in-cab display, improving safety and precision during operation.
Additionally, the Develon Smart Load weighing system accurately measures the material weight in the bucket, ensuring optimal load management.
Reliability is enhanced by a hydraulically-driven reversible fan, a reinforced box frame with an articulating design, large centre bearings, and self-centering, double-tapered roller bearings equipped with dust seals and covers.
An optional axle cooler improves reliability in high-temperature environments or when carrying loads over long distances.
The redesigned cab features an upgraded heating and cooling system with optimised airflow and increased legroom.
Visibility has been significantly improved, with 14% more glass area than previous models, a full glass door on the left side, large mirrors, and an optional rear view camera that displays on the smart touch screen.
Maintenance of the DL580-7 is designed to be quick and straightforward, with easy-access oil sampling, pressure test ports, and engine and coolant drains.
The MY Develon fleet management system, a standard feature on all -7 Series wheel loaders, allows operators to monitor equipment and manage maintenance efficiently, reducing overall operating costs.
The DL580-7 is equipped with more features for improving efficiency.
These include Situation Awareness Technology (SAT), auto-idle and auto-shutdown functions, and a Smart Guidance System that helps operators maximise machine efficiency.
The loader offers three engine power modes – Normal for fuel optimisation, Power for demanding tasks, and SAT, which automatically adjusts engine output to match the drivetrain and hydraulic needs, saving fuel without compromising performance.
