See eye-watering specs for Bell’s new tanker on PS Online

PS Plant Specs online has uploaded the specs for Bell Equipment’s new 2806E Water Tanker, which the manufacturer says further enhances water distribution efficiency, safety, and operator comfort in a variety of demanding environments.

At the heart of the 2806E is its advanced control system, offering precise and automated water distribution.

The in-cab controls are ergonomically designed to reduce operator fatigue and water wastage.

Key features include an Auto Spread function, ensuring uniform water distribution regardless of the vehicle speed. And Ramp Spray adjusts water flow based on terrain inclines.

Operators can also monitor water levels in real-time through the onboard weighing system, displayed directly on the in-cab screen.

Additionally, the system offers Pulse Mode, which can deliver controlled bursts of water to conserve resources.

The reverse camera display, visible on the operator’s screen, allows for easy monitoring of the spray, further enhancing efficiency and safety.

The 2806E comes equipped with an automated pump system that adjusts speed based on the required water flow.

Operators can make precise adjustments using the sealed switch module, allowing for full control over the machine’s water distribution functions.

For added versatility, an optional remote water cannon is controlled by a joystick, allowing operators to adjust the spray pattern, height and direction with ease.

The reverse camera gives clear visibility of the water spray while operating.

The water tank is designed with a low center of gravity to increase vehicle stability, while baffle plates reduce the sloshing effect of water during transport.

Guards and filters are installed on the pump and filling pipe to prevent impurities from entering the take, further protecting the machine’s performance.

The Bell 2806E Water Tanker is equipped with a powershift transmission that optimises shift points based on terrain conditions and vehicle weight, protecting the transmission from operator error.

In challenging conditions, the transfer case, inter-axle differential automatically engages, delivering torque to the wheels that need it most, while the retarder and engine braking provide maximum descent control.

Bell offers a wide range of optional implements for the 2806E, allowing customers to tailor the water tanker to their specific needs. These include a remote or manual water cannon, retractable hose reels, and lay-flat hoses.

Additional spray valves and a pressurised penetration spray bar can also be installed for enhanced water flow control.
