The baseplate of the new machine is cast iron, offering durability and longevity.

The self-cleaning feature of the unit minimises the buildup of stones and debris, ensuring smoother operation and reducing the need for frequent maintenance.

Integrated into the baseplate is the ‘exciter’ housing, which enhances the unit’s structural integrity and performance.

Safety and convenience are at the forefront of the VP80A’s design, with a certified crane lifting point that allows for secure and easy lifting on-site. This ensures safe transport and positioning, even in challenging work environments.

Powering the VP80A is a Honda GX160 4-stroke petrol engine, known across Australia and New Zealand for reliability and compliance with strict ANZ emission standards.

This engine delivers a robust and consistent performance, making it a trusted choice for construction professionals.

The guide handle is engineered for precise response to steering inputs, allowing operators to navigate tight spaces.

Additionally, the handle is designed to reduce hand-arm vibrations, important for operator comfort during extended use.

Its front edges are angled to allow accurate compaction along curbs, while the rounded rear edges ensure smooth and consistent results across surfaces.

It generates a centrifugal force of 20 kN and achieves forward travel speeds of 25–30 m/min. With a gradeability of 35%, this compaction plate is adept at handling inclines and uneven terrain.

Operating at a vibration frequency of 117 Hz, the VP80A ensures thorough and consistent compaction.
