Designed for demanding earthworks and sub-base compaction, this roller delivers performance, ensuring optimal density on cohesive soils and mixed materials.

With an operating weight of 22,120 kg and a static drum weight of 14,620 kg, the CA70PD exerts substantial force to achieve deep compaction.

The 2,130 mm wide drum is fitted with 130 high-performance pads, each standing 100 mm tall with a 146 cm² contact area, ensuring maximum penetration and kneading action.

The machine’s variable amplitude (1.8 mm high / 1.1 mm low) and dual-frequency vibration (30 Hz / 31 Hz) allow operators to adjust compaction intensity based on material type.

This flexibility is enhanced by the centrifugal force range of 339 kN (high amplitude) and 231 kN (low amplitude), making it ideal for everything from landfill layers to road subgrades.

At the heart of the CA70PD is the Cummins 6BTAA5.9 Tier III-compliant diesel engine, delivering 153 kW (205 hp) at 2,200 rpm.

The 5.9-litre, six-cylinder engine is renowned for its durability and fuel efficiency, ensuring long hours of uninterrupted operation.

Despite its robust build, the CA70PD is surprisingly agile, with a tight turning circle of 5,630 mm and 38° articulation in either direction.

The hydrostatic transmission (HS) ensures smooth speed transitions, while the service braking system provides reliable stopping power even on steep gradients.

With dimensions of 6,236 mm (length), 2,440 mm (width), and 2,900 mm (height), the roller maintains a balanced footprint, optimising stability without sacrificing mobility.

Its 38% gradeability ensures it can handle challenging terrains.
