Weighing in at 24,000kg, it’s a robust piece of equipment, yet its electric powertrain ensures it operates with a level of environmental sustainability that traditional diesel-powered machines simply cannot match.
The 4280DE is powered by its LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery system, a 618 kWh system that delivers consistent, reliable energy without the emissions.
It’s compatible with fast charging, meaning less downtime and more productivity on the job site.
At the core of the 4280DE’s functionality is its blade system.
With a blade length of 4,270mm, a height of 645mm, and a thickness of 25mm, it’s built to handle heavy-duty grading tasks with precision.
The blade can lift up to 500mm and tilt forward and backward, offering control over the material being moved.
Additionally, the grader’s shoulder reach of 575mm to the left and 825mm to the right ensures that operators can work efficiently in tight spaces or across wide areas.
The machine’s articulation capability of 27 degrees to either side, combined with a front wheel lean of 18 degrees, allows for manoeuvrability.
Whether navigating a tight turn with a circle diameter of 15,000mm or adjusting to uneven terrain, the 4280DE handles it all with grace.
Its tandem 4WD system and six forward and four reverse speeds ensure that it can maintain traction and stability, even in the most challenging conditions.
The 4280DE’s electric motor delivers a net power of 160 kW in first gear, providing the torque and strength needed for heavy grading tasks.
While the variable power output is not specified, the machine’s design ensures that it can adapt to varying workloads without compromising performance.
The absence of a traditional engine means fewer moving parts, reducing maintenance requirements and increasing reliability.
