Hyundai Construction Equipment announced the addition of four new models to its HX-A series of compact hydraulic excavators in North America.
The new models, HX17AZ, HX27AZ, HX55ACR, and HX60A, expand Hyundai’s compact excavator lineup which now has eight models in total.
Hyundai says that all the new models comply with Tier 4 Final emission standards, underscoring its commitment to environmentally-friendly machinery.
The HX17AZ is equipped with a Kubota D902 diesel engine while the HX27AZ the D1305 version.
The HX55ACR is powered by a Yanmar 4TNV86CT engine and the HX60A utilizes a Hyundai DM02VB unit providing 63.0 hp (47.0 kW) at 2400 rpm.
Designed for versatility in confined spaces, the HX17AZ and HX27AZ models feature zero tail-swing, while the HX55ACR is a compact-radius model also for tighter job sites.
“Hyundai HX-A Series compact excavators set the new standard in compact equipment. These machines represent a new generation of technology built on decades of Hyundai engineering and manufacturing excellence,” said Jeff Pate, VP of Compact Sales at HD Hyundai Construction Equipment North America.
The HX55ACR and HX60A come with a load-sensing hydraulic system, which minimises wear on hydraulic components, ensuring reliable performance, efficiency, and reduced fuel consumption.
The HX17AZ and HX27AZ models are equipped with conventional open center hydraulic systems.
All models feature adjustable hydraulic flow control, allowing operators to set the optimal flow range for multiple attachments easily and switch between them using a two-way diverter valve.
A 5-inch, full-color LCD monitor is standard across all models, along with boom, arm, and bucket cylinder guards.
Additional standard features include a hydraulic quick coupler and an integrated utility lifting hook.
The HX55ACR and HX60A models also offer a standard blade float for consistent backfilling and grading, auto engine idle for fuel efficiency and auto-shift travel speed for smooth transitions between travel speeds on job sites.
