Hitachi Construction Machinery has equipped its updated ZW140-7 wheel loader with several components designed to enhance durability and operational efficiency.
The manufacturer says that these advancements aim to prevent damage and prolong the life of the machine.
One of the features is an intelligent fan operation system, which electronically adjusts the intervals of the automatic reversible fan. This innovation helps prevent radiators from clogging, maintaining optimal performance and reducing maintenance.
Hitachi has implemented a comprehensive monitoring system that includes over 60 guidance and warning messages.
These alerts operators about the machine’s operational condition, allowing for timely interventions and minimise the risk of damage to major components.
Hitachi introduces its “state-of-the-art” ZW-7 cab, which it claims sets a new benchmark for operator comfort and efficiency in the ZW140-7 wheel loader.
The redesigned, ultra-spacious cab focuses on comfort and quality, boasting some of the lowest noise and vibration levels on the market.
The ZW-7 cab has synchronised motion of the seat and console, complemented by seat-mounted electric control levers designed to reduce operator fatigue.
The design includes a multifunction lever, anti-slip steering wheel, and a 40% larger, fully adjustable armrest with an integrated controller.
Included is a LCD monitor with a multifunctional controller, and Hitachi says the screen offers a refreshed layout for clear display and functionality.
Practical joystick functions, like payload checker control and horn, add comfort while the operator is working.
Hitachi offers additional support with a wide range of after-sales services aimed at providing control over fleets and workloads.
Remote monitoring systems, Owner’s Site and ConSite, send daily operational data via GPRS or satellite to the cloud.
This data includes operating hour ratios, fuel consumption, and machine location, helping to increase efficiency, manage running costs, and facilitate planning.
The ConSite Pocket App provides real-time alerts for any issues with the machine, offering recommendations and step-by-step troubleshooting.
The app also allows managers to track the location of the fleet.
