Unlike traditional stump grinders that require frequent replacement of carbide tools, the Stumpex eliminates this hassle entirely.

Its design ensures minimal maintenance, requiring only occasional greasing and sharpening after approximately 1,000 stumps.

This long interval between maintenance tasks reflects the durability of its replaceable hardened steel cone, which stands up to rigorous use while being straightforward to replace when necessary.

The Stumpex operates with a low RPM auger bit, ranging from 7 to 16 rpm, which significantly reduces flying debris, ensuring a safer working environment for operators and bystanders.

This controlled speed not only minimises the risk of injury but also results in a cleaner worksite, as less material is scattered during operation.

This makes the Stumpex particularly suitable for use in settings where safety and minimal disruption are paramount and the design the time required to remove stumps compared to conventional methods.

Its two-speed motor starts by threading the cone into the stump at high speed, automatically switching to high torque to handle the grinding process.

Once the stump is fully ground, the motor shifts back to high speed for efficient withdrawal.

This automation optimises the process, allowing operators to focus on their workflow without manual adjustments.

Operating the Stumpex is straightforward.

The process begins by positioning the tool vertically over the center of the stump.

Once the hydraulics are engaged, the operator allows the Stumpex to follow its course without needing to push or pull. For larger stumps, the tool can be repositioned and used in multiple passes to achieve complete removal.

The Fecon Stumpex SHX34 and SHX33 offer benefits for contractors, forestry operators, and land managers.

By eliminating the need for high-speed grinding, these Fecon models provide a safer and more controlled approach to stump removal.

Their low-maintenance design, combined with the two-speed motor and replaceable steel cone, enhances both productivity and ease of operation.
