Caterpillar claims it has raised the bar with the introduction in 2025 of its MH3050 rubber-tyred excavator and PS Plant Specs Online has now uploaded the specs.

Powering the MH3050 is the powerful Cat C9.3B engine, a robust piece of engineering that delivers an impressive 259 kW at 1900 rpm. 

This unitis not only built for power but also for sustainability, as it is compatible with B20 biodiesel, reducing its environmental footprint without compromising performance. 

With a 9.3-litre displacement and six cylinders, the engine ensures reliable operation even in the most demanding conditions. 

The Variable Displacement Axial Piston (VDAP) pumps, coupled with a main pump relief valve pressure of 350 bar and a flow rate of 630 litres per minute, provide hydraulic efficiency, making the MH3050 a true workhorse.

The MH3050 boasts an operating weight of 48,000kg, striking a balance between stability and mobility. 

Its standard bucket capacity, measured under SAE ratings, ensures efficient material handling, while the bucket width and dig depth are tailored to tackle a wide range of tasks. With a maximum reach at ground level of 18,060mm, this machine excels in applications requiring extended reach, such as trenching and loading. 

The dump height and bucket breakout force further enhance its productivity, allowing operators to handle heavy loads.

Equipped with a spare spool for attachments, this excavator can be customised to suit various job site requirements. 

Its dimensions are 14,840mm in length, 3,720mm in height, and 3,490mm in width. 

The tailswing radius of 3,520mm and ground clearance of 310 mm ensure manoeuvrability and stability on uneven terrain.

With a top speed of 18 km/h and a gradeability of 41%, this machine can navigate steep inclines and rough terrain.
