With a payload capacity of 240,000kg, this behemoth is built to carry the weight of the earth itself.

Its unladen weight of 164,079kg is a testament to its robust construction, while its heaped capacity of 162 cubic metres ensures that every trip counts.

Whether hauling iron ore in the Pilbara or coal in the Bowen Basin, the 793-08 is a workhorse designed for the toughest conditions.

At the heart of the 793-08 lies the Cat C175-16 engine.

This 16-cylinder powerhouse delivers a staggering 1,976 horsepower at 1,750 rpm, ensuring that the truck can tackle steep gradients and heavy loads.

The engine’s compatibility with biodiesel blends ranging from B20 to B100 reflects Caterpillar’s commitment to sustainability, allowing mining operations to reduce their environmental footprint without compromising on performance.

The 793-08’s automatic ECPC transmission and 4×2 mechanical drive system provide power delivery across six forward speeds and one reverse, enabling precise control even in the most challenging conditions.

With a top speed of 60.5 kph when fully loaded, this truck is not just powerful but also remarkably agile for its size.

Its gradeability of 15% ensures that it can navigate steep inclines, while its weight distribution—51% front and 49% rear when empty, shifting to 33% front and 67% rear when fully loaded—ensures stability and safety.

Its loading height of 6,175mm and dump angle of 45 degrees facilitate quick and efficient unloading, with a full dump cycle taking just 42.7 seconds.

This means less downtime and more productivity, a critical factor in the world of mining.

The truck’s dimensions—13,561mm in length, 8,600mm in width, and 7,070mm in height—are optimised for manoeuvrability in addition it has an impressive turn circle diameter of 28,000mm.

The 793-08 rides on massive 46/90R57 tyres, designed to withstand the punishing conditions of mining sites.

These tyres, coupled with the truck’s advanced suspension system, provide a smooth and stable ride, reducing operator fatigue and enhancing safety.
