Since its release in 2022, Bell’s B30E articulated water tank has proven itself a reliable and efficient solution for transporting and distributing water in some of the most challenging environments. 

At the core of the B30E is its massive 27,000-litre water tank, making it one of the largest in its class. 

This capacity ensures that operators can carry significant volumes of water in a single trip, reducing the need for frequent refills and increasing productivity on the job site. 

Whether it’s dust suppression on mining sites, firefighting in remote bushland, or irrigation in agricultural settings, the B30E is built to deliver.

Powering the B30E, is a Mercedes-Benz OM926LA engine, known for its reliability and performance. 

Delivering 240 kW of power at 2,200 rpm and an impressive 1,300 Nm of torque at 1,200 rpm, this six-cylinder, 7.2-litre engine ensures the B30E can tackle steep gradients and rough terrain. 

The engine’s compatibility with biodiesel underscores Bell’s commitment to sustainability, offering operators a greener alternative without compromising performance.

Equipped with an automatic transmission and a 6×6 drive configuration, this articulated water tanker is designed to handle the toughest conditions. 

With a maximum speed of 50 km/h when fully loaded, the B30E strikes a balance between efficiency and safety. 

Its six forward and one reverse gear provide smooth and precise control, while the combination of engine valve braking, exhaust braking, and wet disc brakes ensures reliable stopping power, even on steep descents. 

The wet disc service brakes further enhance safety, offering consistent performance in demanding environments.

One of the features of the B30E is its gradeability of 50%, allowing it to navigate steep inclines. 

This capability is further supported by its robust weight distribution. 

When empty, the B30E maintains a 50/50 weight distribution between the front and rear axles, ensuring stability and balance. When fully loaded, the distribution shifts to 28% front and 72% rear, optimising traction and control. 

The ground pressure of 160 kPa when fully loaded ensures minimal impact on sensitive terrains, making the B30E an environmentally conscious choice.

Measuring 9,953mm in length, 3,260mm in width, and 3,747mm in height, this machine is built to handle large-scale operations without compromising on manoeuvrability. 

Its turning circle of 16,000mm is tight for a vehicle of its size, allowing it to navigate confined spaces. 

The 23.5-inch front and 25-inch rear tyres provide grip and durability, ensuring the B30E can traverse everything from rocky outcrops to muddy tracks.
