Awesome specs posted for biggest Cat wheel loader prioritising productivity

PS Plant Specs Online has uploaded the specs for Caterpillar’s 995 Wheel Loader, an advanced addition to its heavy machinery lineup that focuses on productivity, operator comfort, and maintenance efficiency.

The 995, which comes in a number of versions, is a wheel loader that prioritises operator visibility and safety with a taller windshield, providing a 25% increase in glass surface area, ensuring an unobstructed view of the bucket.

Standard features such as a rear-view camera, LED lighting, and a six-mirror system, with optional 270-degree cameras, enhance job site awareness.

Improved access and egress include an integrated powered access system that can be raised or lowered from the cab or ground, wide 45-degree-angle stairs, an emergency egress ladder, and full-length handrails for secure movement around the machine.

The cab has been redesigned, offering increased legroom and expanded knee space compared to its predecessor, the 994K

Vibration reduction, low sound levels, and automatic climate controls contribute to a more comfortable work environment.

The 995 boasts a 6% increase in hydraulic force and an improved rated payload compared to the 994K

Equipped with the 3516E engine, the machine delivers performance with a 16-cylinder, four-stroke design, turbochargers, and aftercoolers for on-demand power.

Key features such as Tyre Slip Prevention and Tyre Set maximise rimpull by adjusting power based on downforce.

Lift Stall Prevention enhances hydraulic efficiency by automatically engaging the impeller clutch to prevent hydraulic stall during lifting operations.

The Positive Flow Control Hydraulic System ensures seamless pump and valve coordination, boosting bucket control and maintaining consistent performance.

An on-demand throttle system lets operators maintain normal operation while the 995 manages engine speed for enhanced fuel efficiency.

Maintenance has been simplified with ground-level and platform access to service points, swing-out doors on both sides of the engine compartment, and automatic lubrication systems.

A centralised service station provides convenient access to coolant, oil, fuel levels, and diagnostic indicators.

The redesigned pump bay offers improved access to transmission components and discharge ports, while a reduced number of steering hoses and tubes minimises potential failure points.
