That column now covers:

For diesel/petrol engines: details of which emissions platforms (covering only Tier 3 and 4f/Stage IV and V) a particular engine complies with.
We use the following abbreviations (which we will reference at the bottom of each page in the print edition and in notes for Onlline specs):
Tier 3: T3
Tier 4 final: T4f
Tier 5: T5
Stage IV: S-IV
Stage V:S-V
As an example, a machine capable of taking up to 10% biodiesel and is Tier 4 Final/Stage IV compliant would be listed as: B10/T4f/S-IV
Please note: only list models/options that are Tier 3-5/Stage IV-V compliant.

For Electric-powered machines: From 2025, PS Plant Specs Australia will include specifications for electric earthmoving and construction machines, which are being launched in greater numbers every year.
A key priority has been to incorporate electric-powered machine specs into our existing tables format so that users can compare ‘like with like’
electric vs internal combustion power options when making purchasing, leasing and rental decisions.
In the illustration below, excavators are used as an example to shows how this works in our Excel speadsheet format. If you do not mark returned spec forms in RED, we will have to call you to double check that all the specs are correct.

• AN EXCEPTION TO THE ABOVE: If you have no changes, you can simply email us back with a message to the effect that there are NO CHANGES to your specs listings.
• Please DO NOT add extra spec fields that you would like to see added to particular machine types, or amend the existing specs fields. These specs have been fine-tuned over many years, plus there is no space for additional fields. If you feel strongly that there is a need for a revision to some of the specs we request, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us to discuss these.

NEW MODELS: When you are adding NEW models, please write the word “NEW” in the left-hand most column; as in previous editions, we identify newly released machines as a service to readers and will flag these on our website. It also helps ensure your latest product releases stand out.

• Please DO NOT “mix and match” specs to produce machines that look good on paper, but are not workable. An example would be listing excavator breakout forces with a short dipper stick, and dig depths with a long stick. Please put in specs for a “standard” machine, with standard bucket, dipperstick, boom, etc — although you are quite welcome to list variations, such as a bulk excavation version, a long-reach version, a high-lift version, etc.

Company and agent contact details
For complimentary entry in our Directory, please supply an MS Word file containing your:
— Company contact details
— Product names and equipment types your company distributes in Australia
— The Product name cross-reference list of the products your company distributes in Australia.

*Online submission: PS Plant Specs Online is currently trialling a system for submitting machine specs directly to our database.
